Santa Caterina boasts a very well-organized structure certified ISO 9001:2015.
- Models are all carefully stored and cataloged.
- Molding, casting, deburring, and sandblasting are carried out internally.
- All metals are purchased with analysis according to customer requirements.
- In-house liquid penetrant, tensile testing, and dimensional control with Zeiss measurement system and chemical analysis are possible.
- Upon customer request, Santa Caterina can rely on external laboratories with the most important certifications to perform level 2 liquid penetrant tests, x-ray inspections, and all destructive and non-destructive mechanical tests.
OVENS
The foundry has 5 INDUCTOTHERM induction furnaces (3 of which are 1200 kg). The melting capacity is 5400 kg of bronze in just 45 minutes. The quality of the metal and its chemical analysis are excellent thanks to the speed of melting.
MODELS
Santa Caterina relies on 6 specialized companies in wood, metal, and 3D resin modeling such as silca block.
Cores are produced by 9 external core-making facilities, including:
- 3 for cold and hot runners
- 3 for medium and large series
- 3 for small series and rapid prototyping
The foundry has 3 molding islands: two green sand on automatic Belloi and Romagnoli systems and one hand molding island with a chemical process for medium to heavy weights. It collaborates with 3 mechanical workshops to deliver finished machined parts with pressure testing and dimensional control. Upon request, Rina, Lloyd's Register, DNV-GL, and Bureau Veritas inspections can be carried out.
